In his two lectures, given on October 10 and 12, 2025, Prof. Carbajo presented the essential features of the Canticle of the Creatures, showing how its contemplative vision of nature stands in sharp contrast to the materialistic logic of today’s economic system.
This model, driven by efficiency and aimed at continuous and unlimited growth, is sustained by consumerism and the large-scale exploitation of the planet’s resources (second part). The beauty of the Canticle thus reveals the urgent need to promote a new relational paradigm.
