On November 3, Prof. Martín Carbajo-Núñez celebrates the onomastic feast of Saint Martin de Porres. Over the past ten years, this date, which is especially meaningful to him as a day of thanksgiving, has been celebrated in California, where he has enjoyed the company of friends, Franciscan friars, and students of the Franciscan School of Theology (University of San Diego).
In 2025, the Franciscan fraternity wished to celebrate the occasion at a Spanish restaurant in San Diego, where he had also been invited on the eve of the feast by two friends, Corinne and Fr. Vince Messi. Shortly thereafter, his students offered him the now traditional annual dinner at the Guadalajara restaurant in Old Town San Diego. As in previous years, they also presented him with a beautiful gift.
Several weeks later, on the eve of his return to Rome, he was once again honored with several farewell dinners.
