Prof. Martín Carbajo Núñez, OFM, will participate as a speaker at the 3rd International EoF Congress (3rd European EoF Summer School, EoFEUSS) which will be held at the University of Split (Croatia) from 24 to 31 August 2025. This year there will be an online component of the school, scheduled for August 18th to August 20th, 2025.
The general theme will be "Management and Leadership". It aims to explore innovative approaches to leadership and organizational strategies, aligned with the principles of the Economy of Francesco. Prof. Carbajo will develop the topic: "Artificial Intelligence and leadership: Ethical insights." He has also accepted the formal invitation to join the program and organizing committee of the EoF Summer School.
Prof. Carbajo will explore how integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) into business leadership must be guided by the ethical values of the Economy of Francesco and the Franciscan tradition, fostering sustainable, people-centered decision-making.
His talk will cover four points: key leadership models and the importance of intrinsic motivations; St. Francis of Assisi’s vision of authority and leadership; Pope Francis’s proposal for a new economy; and the growing impact of AI on business leadership.
The
first edition of this event took place in 2023 at the same venue, while
the second was held in 2004, with Professor Carbajo participating by giving four lectures.
