On April 18, 2026, from 9:20 to 10:00 a.m., Prof. Martín Carbajo-Núñez will give a lecture entitled “Development in the Light of Integral Ecology.” The lecture is part of the course “Systemic Vision and Entrepreneurial Awareness for Integral Human Development,” which has the subtitle “A Training Pathway in the Economic Field, Inspired by the Social Doctrine of the Church and the Best Practices of the Civil Economy, for Quality of Life in Communities and Territories.”
The course is part of a biennial research and development project organized by the Alfonsian Academy in collaboration with other institutions and launched in June 2025. It is intended for university students, workers, entrepreneurs, and self-employed professionals, as well as leaders in associations, companies, institutions, and civil and ecclesial organizations, and for active citizens.
The main educational objectives are:
- to develop an economic vision grounded in solid anthropological and scientific foundations;
- to explore the contexts and best practices of the Civil and Circular Economy, as well as the main criteria of sustainability in natural and social systems;
- to highlight significant innovations, in terms of economic vision and practice, that have emerged throughout history as a result of the Christian proclamation;
- to promote, starting from families, businesses, and communities, the spread of lifestyles, decision-making criteria, and development models oriented toward walking together in an entrepreneurial way, in order to foster peace and quality of life everywhere.
