Prof.
Martín Carbajo-Núñez, OFM, has accepted the invitation of the Pontifical Alfonsian Academy in Rome to participate as a lecturer in the research and formation programme “
For a Synodal and Entrepreneurial Moral Conscience.” This marks a renewed collaboration with the Academy's academic initiative. In 2026, Professor Carbajo-Núñez had already contributed to the programme in a similar capacity (
see).
The invitation was extended by Professor Filomena Sacco, a member of the programme's Scientific Committee, which promotes an interdisciplinary approach inspired by Catholic Social Teaching and the principles of the civil economy, with the aim of fostering a systemic vision of integral human development.
As part of the 2027 Course, entitled “
Beyond Fragmentation: Rebuilding the Human. Synodality and the Entrepreneurial Vocation for Economic and Systemic Action,” Professor Carbajo-Núñez will deliver a lecture on 13 February 2027 entitled “
Towards an Economy at the Service of Integral Human Development.” The lecture forms part of Module II: “Moral Conscience and the Relational Dimension.”
In addition to his lecture, Professor Carbajo-Núñez will contribute a feature article for the Alfonsian Academy Blog and a scholarly essay for the Quaderni economici, the Academy's publication series dedicated to the themes explored throughout the programme.
The course, comprising six modules from January to June 2027, is intended for university students, professionals, entrepreneurs, leaders of civil and ecclesial organisations, and all those interested in exploring the relationship between ethics, economics, and integral human development. The Academy will confirm the activation of the programme in the coming months, subject to the minimum number of registrations being reached.
